Born into a family of artists in New York and raised in Pennsylvania, Maryland and North Dakota, Carrie Kingsbury is an artist of customization, collaboration and her own creative imagination. Her artistic talent was discovered at a very young age. In grade school, she accepted commissions for doing portraits and then landscapes in high school. Earning many scholarships and awards, she furthered her education in the fine arts at Bismark State College in North Dakota and at Kutztown University. Carrie started Promiseland in 1999 from her home in Montgomery County Pennsylvania to paint custom portraits, murals and furniture for both children and adults in the local area and beyond to California! Portraits are available in oil, pastel or charcoal. Furniture and wall murals are done in non-toxic latex paint. Custom-painted murals and furniture can be done to match a room’s theme, or Carrie can create a whole new look. She will take time to discuss your needs, answer any questions and do a free quote. Some of her work includes Black Foot Ferret Exhibit at The Norristown Zoo, colonial townsmen murals inside the expansion of The Great American Pub in Conshohocken and painted furniture displayed inside Light Parker Kids Furniture store. Carrie is in the process for her own line of painted furniture, and you will be hearing more about it as well as her other creative projects in the media. Did you buy plain furniture for yourself or your child, and it has you visioning accents of color with beauty or fun? Have you been wanting to get a self-portrait but never obtained the resources make it happen? Do you desire a view of the Mediterranean, a tropical island or a scene from ranchos of the Southwest in your living room, bedroom, dining room, office or restaurant? If you answered yes to any of these questions, call Carrie today.
